Robert and Dorethy and Cathy and I all went to Pratt Institute together, Dorethy also went to High School with me. Tim Hyde was a student of mine at Vassar. Caption: Catherine and I first went to a memorial service for Judy Busch at the New School for Social research in Manhattan. After the service Catherine and I met up with Alexis and Shirley at Sammy's Noodle House on 6th Avenue and 11th Street. Alexis came in from Minneapolis that morning. After we visited and ate some food at Sammy's, we went across the street to a patisserie and cafe and visited for another hour over coffee, tea and pastries.

Caption: George Trakas was invited by Environmental Studies (at Vassar) to give a lecture. The Art Department was another sponsor. Par Wallace has been conducting a faculty seminar on creativity. The dinner was also a meeting of this group. Even though I had not been participating in the Seminar Pat invited Catherine and me to come to dinner and to this session of the seminar, so we did.

Caption: Joyce wanted to come and see the student sculpture and animation exhibition at Vassar College. She is going to be taking my place when I am on sabbatical in the fall. So thought it would be good to see what the students are doing and meet some of the students she will be working with next year. Tom and she both came to the opening as did Catherine. After the opening, the four of us went out to dinner at the Beechtree Restaurant across the street from Vassar.
