Caption: I was close to them and didn't want to flash in their faces so I didn't use a flash, clearly a mistake. We (Cathy and I) were walking by and saw a poster for Kevin Wixted's show and went into the Lohin Geduld Gallery. It turned out the opening reception for the show was a bit later in the day, thus we came upon Sallie, Ro and Jerilyn.

Caption: Juan did a taping for a video portrait of Catherine (Catherine Murphy). The video portrait was for an award ceremony for the presentation of the Skohegan Medel. Catherine is being awarded one in the spring, along with Merce Cunningham and Paul McCarthy. We all had lunch at our house. Catherine made home made cream of tomato soup, toast with melted cheese, salad. For dessert, home made lemon squares with coffee and tea. (see Visitors, Ju and Juan, also December 13, 2008)

In front of him, looking like a gay lumberjack, is Raymond Foye. Next, radiant in the white gown, is Nathlie Provosty. And over her shoulder is Tim Davis' sister and Lisa Sanditz (in flashy pants). And above them looms Bald Tim. Towering over him, and obscuring Gret's painting, is Adam with Anne Byrd (they were married the next day). In front of Anne, is Veronica. And in front of her is Marina Adams. Central and glowing though black and blue, are Joyce Robins and Gret Srarrett Smith. Behind them, are Claire and Carey Harrison (in traditional white robe). In front of her is, I think, Tim Davis' sister's husband. In front of him (in white hoodie) is William Whitney (looking like he'll remember this moment) and Catherine [Murphy], who has seen this all before but never tires of it. And peeking around the column is Jennifer Bowen. Directly behind her in glasses and black sweater is Stanley Whitney. And behind him is Odile Hullot-Kentor. On the other side of the column (white beard, arms crossed, having none of this nonsense) stands Peter Lamborn Wilson. Behind him is Nancy Goldring and Gregory Amenoff, both looking right. Next to Gregory is Judy Linn. And next to her in black cap and yellow logo is Jeff Weiss. In front of him is Zoe Sheehan-Saldana (laughing) and Bill Beckley, looking a little like Barishnikov. To the right of Barishnikov is Bob Bowen (bald). Talking with Robert Hullot-Kentor (not). Behind Bob is Sonia [Resika] turning to talk with Bobby Adams, and Tom Nozkowski, looking happier than I've seen him in a long time.
