Caption: They came over to see how Pansy was— On our (Cathy and me) way to the park, where I was doing a sculpture, and Cathy was making a painting, a little kitty cam up to us. She was starving and sickly. She was a calico, just the color kitten that Cathy had been wanting. I took her home by taxi. We took a bus to this park from where we live. I was locked out of our apartment, and the neighbor wasn't home. So I had to break our screen to get in. Then I went back to the park. When we got back home, the kitten had terrible diarrhea. We called Jon, and he took us to the veterinarian. The vet was horrible, hardly looked at her, gave her a shot in the neck, and said goodbye. On the way home, she threw up & kept meowing. At home, she shivered and couldn't stand up. We thought she was dying. We sat and watched her, and she took a nap. When she awoke, she was a bit better. We called Jon and Joy, and they came over. The four of us sat on the kitchen floor and watched Pansy (the name Cathy gave the kitten) for two hours. She would nap for ten minutes, have a nibble of chopped beef, nap again, and then repeat the process. She seemed to be reviving. By the next morning, she was much better.

Caption: Scott came over for dinner. He directed (curated?) the Realism Now show at the New York Cultural Center. He had included Cathy (Catherine Murphy in that show. That was how we met him in person. Earlier, he introduced Donald Droll (all done over the phone with Cathy) of Fourcade Droll to Cathy's work. This was only the second time I had met Scott. The first was for a few minutes at the Cultural center opening.

Caption: Because of a discrepancy in the date of the roll of film, I am not positive about the date of this entry. Scott and Maria were getting married on the 25th of August in Tarrytown, NY. Then they would head to Spain and Portugal for their honeymoon. We would be going to the wedding. They were going to live in Scott's apartment on 21st Street in manhattan. At the time, Scott had one more year of law school, and Maria was a librarian and would be going to graduate school at Pratt Institute. They both came over for dinner. After dinner, we played facts-in-five, which we borrowed from Jon and Joy.
