He came over to pick up Morgan (see entry: Seth, Sidney, Morgan - December 4, 1971). He was planning to keep him for most of the two weeks that our parents were in Florida. He was watching Morgan because of my back. I didn't think I'd be up to walking him. Also, he often got hair into Cathy's paintings and generally drove us crazy... even though I did like him when he wasn't staying with us. Neil brought dinner from where he worked (Gourmet International). He did most of the cooking there. He brought back duck with orange sauce, rice stuffing, and salad. Neil waited until Fred came to meet him here. See next entry.

October 20 to 23, 1972. Friday-Monday. They got lost on the way and called us from Lexington Center. I met them there, and they followed me back. They arrived at 11:20 p.m. We had tea and coffee and Frank's (Cathy's father) homemade ginger cookies. On Saturday, Alan gave Rosemary and Cathy Rorschach tests (he is studying to be a psychologist). Elena, Rosemary and I played pool. Cathy and I also did our work for a few hours. Saturday night, we looked at half the slides from Elena and Alan's trip to California. On Sunday Elena and Alam went to providence to visit Elena's sister Carol who is going to Brown. Sunday night, we looked at the rest of the California slides, and Alan gave me a Rorschach test. We all went over the results together. He thought Rosemary came across as the craziest, even though he had thought it would be Cathy, and that I had diarrhea of the mouth (while I thought he wasn't thorough enough because he wouldn't write down everything I saw). We showed them our work on Monday, and they left after an early dinner.

They came over to borrow $5. They were supposed to go with us tonight to an opening at the New York Cultural Center to see The Realist Revival (see entry: Scott Burton, August 4, 1973). Cathy had a painting in the show. Jon hadn't slept well last night. So he was too tired. We arranged to meet Suzanne Mantell and Stephen Soul at the opening.
