At the two tables next to ours, in the Restaurant Le Hatley at Manoir Hovey, was a large group of people who were having a birthday lunch. I am pretty sure that the man second from left with glasses and a plaid shirt was the birthday celebrant. They were posing for a group picture by one of their party.

On the back porch of Manoir Hoven. I found Hovey Manor on the internet when researching places near Montreal that are reflected in Louise Penny's invention of Three Pines.

Lunch at Le Hartley Restaurant, Hovey Manor, North Hatley. We had an incredibly terrific lunch. The chef was Francis Wolf who had worked with Alain Ducasse, Daniel Boulud, Charlie Palmer, and Gary Danko. Catherine and Arthur's lunch was spectacular. I had ordered wrong because the hamburger as described seemed like it would be better than it actually was.
